Most Helpful Positive Review Underestimated solo tent
For whatever reason, we don't get to see many Big Agnes tents in Canada. Such a shame as this solo tent is awesome - may not be a SL or UL - but the extra lb or 2 assures me that I have a freestanding tent, easy to set up, very evident quality throughout, and tons of room - all at a very affordable price. Big Agnes rules!!

Not ultralightweight if you're harcore minimnalist, but light enough for my purposes when backpacking. 3.5-4# for the basic tent setup plus a little extra weight for a homemade footprint. The weight is kept down with a good deal of mesh used in tent construction, but that also allows good ventilation and stargazing by leaving off the rainfly on warm nights when you don't expect rain. Perfect comfortable solo tent!!

Big Agnes products are very high quality and this tent is no exception. I've used it 3-4 times now and I quite enjoy it. In the 1 person tent category, most tents cost considerably more than the lynx pass because they are made of lighter materials. thus, they can achieve a weight of around 2lbs which is about half the weight of the lynx pass depending on configuration.
