they are lights. I plug mine in to usb battery banks. you can use AAAs as well, but I always lose those or forget to remove them for months.

So fun, perfect amount of lighting

We've used these for backpacking and car camping - we got the red lights and they are perfect for providing enough light to see around the tent without waking up our one year old.

Great lights

Really love using these lights for car camping or backpacking. Nice, lightweight. Little storage bag. Outstanding to use, either with the included battery pack or with a larger battery. Great product!
