I bought this pack for it's small stuff size. It says that it was designed to work with their pad, but it should say that it is recommended. Bottom does not have any fill - just a light nylon bottom. I am relatively new to this and that surprised me. I will be ordering the pad in the near future. I aslo expected a bit more from the stuff sac at this price.
This has been a great lightweight bag for hut trips and summer desert camping. It compresses small enough to fit in my ski pack for some overnights in a cabin.

If you are going light and want a large bag this is the one. It's not intended for a full three seasons in the higher elevations but does great in warmer weather. (Some silk lj's help in cooler weather).

Just returned from a 6 week bicycle tour CO-UT-NV-SanFran. I forgot to bring a warm hat, but we had many nights down to 34' and I stayed warm with a light polypro set of long undies.
