Big Agnes Scout UL2
I bought this tent as an alternative to an expensive Deneena ultralight. I’ve used it 5 days now an it has done well. It’s has stayed dry. It is easy to setup and packs small. Weight is very light. I am using a ground pad to help prevent pinholes. So far it is working well in Colorado trails in the wintertime.

Simple in construction and simple to pitch
This tent is simple in construction and simple to pitch
The tent is roomy, but I use it as a solo tent
The vestibule is a great open area, works well in the rain, relieves the claustrophobia
Single skin tents have condensation, get over it or don't buy one, and carry a small towel to absorb the dampness.
There are two loops on the outside of the tent where the poles are placed
Add two guy lines (don't know why Agnes did not supply them)
Peg out the base of the tent, and place the poles in the sockets.
Then... guy out the two guy lines you added, the front first then the back
The tent is now standing and has the tension to the ridge of the tent
Then guy out the vestibule and the rear lines
The trick to getting the tent to be easy to pitch and taut is by using the added guy lines I highly recommend this tent
Get one as Agnes are not manufacturing them anymore

Great design! Really easy to set up with my trekking poles. Enough room for me and my pack while on the trail. Light weight and very compact.

not made for Denali where it rains a lot
I purchased this tent used it once and returned it realizing that it rains a lot in Denali National Park in Alaska and it's hard to set up in the rain otherwise it's a really good tent
