Reviews & Ratings for Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Solo Trekking Pole
— 3 reviews — Page 1
Trekking up Kahiltna Glacier on Mt McKinley it was an excellent support, right up to 14,000ft. It's a great support particularly on lower side of a steep climb (obviously ice-axe in other hand). Had a pair of them previously, lost one and the other shed the tip section after I fell into water crossing a rocky creek. Paint fades from UV up high but works brilliantly.

Did an overnight hike just last weekend after getting it in the post last week. I was really happy with it, saved my regular knee pains on steep descents. Happy happy happy. It's comfy in the hand, lightweight, and seemed reliable.

Like this pole alot- havent been convinced i need tow so went with the solo- allows you freedom of one hand. Used it on a steep climb and it was great both up and down. Campsavers price was the best on the net.
