Nice, but could use some improvements
No real complaints. Action is nice. I wish the lobs were sandblasted. The WC friends feel more fluid in the trigger pull, but the C4s have a lighter and shorter trigger pull. When new, the sling tends to stay closed a bit and marginally annoying to clip a sling.

Nice cams, great for the price.
1. These handle all your standard parallel cracks in the size ranges they cover better than any other standard cam. You'll need to supplement the C4s with some smaller cams and cams for flaring cracks, but you'll never need anything else for parallel cracks in their size range.

3. Black Diamond's production is consistent and they stand behind their product in the rare case of a defect.

Black Diamond Camalot C4
Best trad-climbing and alpine climbing protections you can find on market, simple, durable, lightweight and secure. On my every single trip in mountains I use C4 cams with black diamond stopper nuts and I am really satisfied. It can be used by any level climbers are easy to use.

Best large cam on the market
The latest iteration of the C4 Camalot is slightly lighter and just as strong. It’s a small but noticeable improvement over the last version. The weight savings are more in the larger cams, but the smaller ones are still lighter.

- Parallel cracks- horizontal or vertical

In Black Diamond, there are two types of cams for the same function
