Strange design features
I'll start by saying the green color I ordered for my boyfriend was great, true to the picture. However, the coat just had some strange design features that I thought would be bothersome. The hood had a drawstring that could be cinched up around the face (great for cold, windy weather), but when the cord was not pulled tight, the material in the hood just kind of flopped all over the place. So, really, it seemed like the hood could not be worn normally... unless you are ok with loose material hanging around on your forehead. The second disappointment was the bottom hem of the coat. My boyfriend has a fairly slim build, but this coat (in size Large) was very snug in the bottom hem. It seemed like if he stretched his legs wide, the seams might break (that's maybe an exaggeration, but it definitely was tight). A friend suggested that maybe I ordered a past season jacket, and the new design has fixed these features, because he has tried this coat on and loved it. But for some reason, the coat I ordered was not the coat I was expecting.
Would recommend: Yes
Warm and good fit
The fabric has a little bit of stretch to it, so it fits really well. Would definitely buy more from Black Diamond based on the quality and fit of this jacket.

Liked: color, insulation, appearance. Disliked: internal hood cords poked neck, fit--when I raised my arms the jacket was constricted on the front of my shoulders and the cuffs moved up exposing about 4" up my arm from my wrist.
A beautiful jacket that simply didn't fit me.
