Ian's Review of Black Diamond Creek Transit 22 L Pack
Alpine runner, climber, mountaineer, etc. Have guided in various capacities and used many packs. The rigid lumbar material, intended to upright the pack when stood on end, is extremely uncomfortable to the point of lower back pain during 'extended' use. It isn't my particular body type or shape. It's poorly designed and untested. Shoulder straps are not at all padded, so forget about hauling heavier pack loads. Unless this pack is fully loaded, it is top heavy and sags in the middle, which topples the pack end over - making the so called support system pointless. I found myself packing it full of lightweight jackets and extra gear just to help maintain its shape. Durable. Decent features. Sold it and bought something better.
Pros:
durable
Features
Cons:
Heavy
Expensive
Painful to walk in
cheap materials
uncomfortable
poor design
Best Used for:
Nothing.
Would Recommend:
No
