Uncomfortable

by Ian, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on April 20, 2020
Alpine runner, climber, mountaineer, etc. Have guided in various capacities and used many packs. The rigid lumbar material, intended to upright the pack when stood on end, is extremely uncomfortable to the point of lower back pain during 'extended' use. It isn't my particular body type or shape. It's poorly designed and untested. Shoulder straps are not at all padded, so forget about hauling heavier pack loads. Unless this pack is fully loaded, it is top heavy and sags in the middle, which topples the pack end over - making the so called support system pointless. I found myself packing it full of lightweight jackets and extra gear just to help maintain its shape. Durable. Decent features. Sold it and bought something better.
Pros:
  • durable
  • Features
Cons:
  • Heavy
  • Expensive
  • Painful to walk in
  • cheap materials
  • uncomfortable
  • poor design
Best Used for:
  • Nothing.

Great Commuter bag

by James, from OR, United States Written on December 12, 2017
I recently moved to the very rainy city of Portland and wanted a bag for bike commuting in any weather. This bag works great for this! The waterproof sides keep the rain out and I am very happy with the quality. I’m sure this bag will last me for years to come. It also sits very nicely when I am riding and the laptop compartment comes in handy.

The only thing I would like to add would be a mesh pocket under the lid to stash a charging cable and a few other things that I don’t use often but would like to have on me.

Overall great bag, and I am very happy with it!
