This is what I wanted

by happykimmy, Verified Owner from Korea, Republic of Written on July 27, 2020
I bought this for my BF birthday gift. it is easy to make a length and fold them.
These are super light. The long ones, which I have, weigh only 13 oz.
The swing-weight feels fast. They're easy and quick to deploy or pack away.

I’ve liked these trekking poles a lot so far. Second time buying this trekking poles. These are great trekking poles for when you want to pack poles away! They perform super well when out, but are extremely easy to collapse and adjust.

Lightweight

Love the fact they are so lightweight and fold down so small. Am traveling to Europe and these will be perfect. Well-made and convenient. They seem like they will wear well, but I won't know until I've used them. My previous hiking poles are Black Diamond and they are at least 10 years old and still work well.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Folds down small
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • HIKING

Initial out of box thoughts

by Dirtbaghiker, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on December 3, 2018
Just got them today so i have not used them out on the trails yet. My first impressions are; These poles are super compact when broken down. They are ridiculously light weight. They go together easily and they adjust perfectly. I am 5 ft 10 inches and no problems finding perfect height for me. I appreciate the flick locking mechanism also, as i have these on my other Black daimond poles. They work awesome and easily adjust when needed. I also like the extended grip, big help when ascending peaks. I will be using these poles on my next few trips here in New York/New Jersey and Pennsylvania and as long as they hold up well i will continue to use them indefinitely.
Pros:
  • Compact, lightweight, extended handgrip, secure locking mechanism
Cons:
  • Non just yet
Best Used for:
  • Swimming in the ocean (duh)

Perfect, Lightweight Hiking Poles

If you are looking for lightweight, packable hiking poles, look no further. I bought a set of these around 6 months after a friend suggested I buy some.

At the time I thought that hiking poles were for old people and that I didn't need them. Especially the expensive carbon poles. Then I injured my knee on a descent and painfully limped back to camp using a pine branch I found. I bought the poles right after that to use for emergencies, and the poles stayed in my hiking pack for another 2 years. This year however I pulled out the poles to try on a hike up Mt. Sneffels. I couldn't believe how useful they were. Not only on the ascent, but being able to adjust the length for the descent made such a difference. I had to give mine to my wife on one section so that she could make it down.

I've used them for several hikes since then that I would have done without poles before. What I've found is that I can hike further and that I walk with my shoulders back and with much better posture. Instead of staring at the trail in front, I now look around more. I liked my poles so much that I bought my wife a set for her birthday! She sued them on a recent hike and says she loves using them!

The current model poles have longer ferrules and a modified support where the release button rests. Both of those look like great improvements to an already stellar piece of equipment.

Tip: If you know your pole length and you don't care about the adjustable feature, you can buy the set length poles sl...
