Durable (so far) poles with features amenable to ski-area riders: bright color accents improve visability if you need to find one in the snow; releasable straps ease anxiety in the trees & punchy snow; Bands of reinforcing kevlar protect against abuse from ski edges & other objects. The trade-off with the beefiness is that these are far from the lightest carbon poles but does allow for the thinner diameter common to carbon-fiber pole types and they are lighter than traditional aluminum poles.
Pros:
Beefy, thinner diameter
Cons:
Heavy for carbon poles
Best Used for:
Ski areas

I never thought of poles as being necessary but this pole changed my mind. The strap catch and release system is awesome. The poles are strong and light. Great looking. Male sure you buy the right size for your height. I am 6.0” and got 125 cm. My wife is 5’5” got 115 cm
