Black Diamond Session Approach Shoes

I wouldn’t call these approach shoes. They are sticky, but the heel slips off really easily. If you’re walking on flat ground where there is zero approach necessary, then these are great. However I found my foot slipping out of the shoe walking on 3rd class slab. I love how easy it is to take off and put on these shoes on a cragging day, but only giving it 3 stars because it is useless on any type of approach.
Pros:
  • Easy to take off and on
Cons:
  • Heel slips out when doing anything class 3+
Best Used for:
  • Flat ground (I.e not for approaches)

My New Favorite Shoes!

I picked these up recently and they are the perfect shoe in every way! I have had a bunch of different approach shoes, but these take the cake. My most recent favorites have been the Evolv cruzers in the slip-ons and the lace ups. This shoe fits better than those, more breathable, easier to take on and off and look stellar! I will be buying a lot more of these!
