I have used this tent a good bit of times while backing through the Appalachian mountains and have been impressed by this tent's weight, ease of assembly, and durability. If you are an extremely minimalist camper, than I recommend buying the custom fit ground pad. It snaps into the rain fly to create a sturdy sheltered cover. Good 3 person tent

The Vista tent is a great tent when you are not concerned about weight. I use this tent for camping trips and expeditions on traditional rowboats where I am not worried about carrying a slightly heavier tent. This would make a great car camping tent for 2, as it is roomy and easy to set up. If you do buy this tent, expect it to last a long time, as some of the weight goes into quality construction

Great tent.

Great tent. A little on the not~light side,but 2 people 2.5# each isn't bad for what you get with this tent. Steep wall's so the floor specs are true.
Loike it enough that I'm eyeing the BD Squall, the Vista's 4 season version.

Solid tent

I really enjoy this tent. Although it is a little heavy for backpacking it makes up for it in rough conditions. Three nights in hard rain and wind and there wasn't any water inside. And even though the vestibules are on the small side all the gear stored there remained dry. You really can't beat this tent!

Size matters

Finally, a three man tent with room for three men. This tent is the first three man tent I've found that doesn't inspire me to cry foul due to patently false advertising. We've all been there, shopping for a three man tent that is still barely large enough for two people of non-intimate acquaintance. The Vista makes those days obsolete. Just spacious enough for a family

I bought this tent for camping with my young family (wife and two kids under 5) and I have say it does actually fit us all. It was cozy - but hey we're a family. I found that by lying across the tent, in size order from big to small, all of us could get our sleeping mats in, and I think that should work for a few years yet.
