I purchased this over a year ago to use for backpacking and car camping. It has been phenomenal! My wife and I have slept in it with below freezing temperatures in Yosemite, and it still kept us warm with some clothing on. Excellent system for side sleepers as well, no touching the ground etc. If you are considering a backcountry bed system this is the one to have. BUY IT! Pro tip: Be sure to buy the insulated air mattresses. They may weigh just a bit more, but this is how you stay warm.

After extensive research I chose the BV 500 and am really glad that I did. It is certainly no more bulky nor heavier than similarly priced canisters yet offers the wide mouth opening and clear sides for easy meal ID. Everyone agreed that it is much nicer than than the National Park rental Garcias. Makes a nice stool as well! Buy this Canister!

This was a surprisingly tasty meal. I had bought it on sale and loved the price as well. I like this stuff wrapped in tortillas. I wouldnt hesitate to buy this one again!
