Wear Way Too Fast inside and out... Comfy but does not breath at all.

Written on Jul 18, 2021

This is a decent shoe if you have wide feet as Oboz offers a wide size. I must say that for the price point, I was expecting much better. This shoe is overall comfy is it does not breath at all so, in warmer temperature, your feet will sweat . I wish there was a version that is not waterproof. I worn mine for 10 days in Utah and the sole started to wear really fast and the inner liner started to break around the heels.

Quite disappointed, all my Oboz shoes are wearing out too quick, and this one even faster. Overall, not too impressed with my purchase.

Major Flaws on a Great Stove, for Specific Used Only

Written on Feb 04, 2020

I bought this stove to replace a bulky classic box shape two burner stove. I needed something more compact for camping and overlanding as the space in my truck is limited. I tested the Genesis stove over a long weekend as my only stove, which turned out to be a mistake.

Pros:
-Compact when fold
-Superb control of the flame
-High quality item

Cons:
-Unstable, very, you MUST have a solid flat surface under it like a table
-Unstable again, the two parts don't lock when opened. Hard to set if no table...
-The grill in the center is design for large pans and pots, I wish I realized that earlier... Won't hold my 1L pot so, no morning coffee
-The solid pipe connecting the can tank is hard to connect and always seem to be in the way.
-You will miss the wind protection from your old box stove. The plastic trim provided is a lame attempt.
-Clearly design to sell accessories

I still recommend it due to the quality and if you want to cook for a lot of folk in a secure setup, but not for travelling.

Great simple backpack. Comfortable, adjustable, and more volume than advertised.

Written on May 28, 2018

Pros:
This is a 4.5 stars rating, but still not 5.

This backpack offers a decent amount of adjustability for its size. I am 5'9" and bulky and I was able to find the right fit for me being comfortable on the trail. The shoulder straps paddings are quite comfortable and somewhat ventilated. Once adjusted, the pack moves with you without this "off balance" feeling that certain bags produce. Moreover, it adapts pretty well if you add or remove layers during the hike.

It does feel like a bigger backpack than the advertised 17L. The minimalist approach makes you looking for the extra zipped compartements but you should appreciate the large open volume available for your stuff. External daisy chains are a plus for sure.

I retrofitted the bag with a 2.5L Osprey bladder and it was just fine. The reinforced back support does help to keep everything quite sturdy compared to my Camlbak. This is an overall well made, high quality hydration pack.

Cons:

The routing for your bladder's hose is quite tricky. I could not get a proper setup for my hose as there is not loops or dedicated hooks for the hose. The hose exits straight up from the backpack which limit your routing choices. My bladder's quick connect was right at the pack's hose outlet.

The foam and mesh back support does not breath well and tend to accumulate sweat and take quite a time to dry. Not having an air gap between the pack and your back keeps the bag close to you, so as the sweat. No bag is perfect regarding this poi
