I’m using these with the Delta IFP skis and couldn’t be happier. Love the ease of slipping them on the skis without tools. The turn lock for unlocking my boots is easy to control with gloves on. What eventually sold me was how easy it is to move the binding fore and aft. I’m a recreational skier who skis for exercise and these are more than adequate for my needs.
These are an upgrade for me; I was skiing on some touring skis I bought about 13 years ago, which were fine but as I've gotten interested in skiing more for fitness, I wanted something with a little more glide. I am, however, not interested in "racing," so this sport version seemed like it might be a good fit. I used the Rossignol sizing chart online for my weight and they seem to be the right fit.
The best part was the bindings (I bought the accompanying Rossignol classic Turnamic bindings) and the installation was a breeze. Yes, you have to still wax these skis but I love that I don't have to worry about kick wax. Felt like I had plenty of grip on my first outing. I think I will enjoy these skis for years to come.
Big fan of the Houdini pullover. It's so light and great for blocking wind and light rain. Have noticed this year's model feels a bit different than previous versions I've had, like the fabric is stiffer. Doesn't make it any less great of a jacket, though. Bought a size larger than my normal size in Patagonia to accommodate a thicker base layer in colder months. Really feel the pullover version of the Houdini runs smaller than the zip jacket - in width and length.
