I have many down jackets, and do lots of research before I buy anything. This is by far the best down piece I own, and may be the best in the market. With 900 fill Hutterite Canadian down, the insulation is best of breed. The fabric is light, yet durable. Construction is top grade as its made in Canada, not the far east, quality jacket throughout. Its the one jacket that will go camping, climbing, walking, tailgating, etc. since its styling is basic yet modern. The Large fits a bit snug on my 5'10", 200 lb frame (36"w, 42"chest). It is better suited for "non" tall people, sleeves are 34" and the hem falls right at my beltline.

Sea to Summit Pack Tap Water Carrier
This is a well made, lightweight water carrier. Got the 2L, and it worked well to carry a day's worth of water. However the nozzle design is bad. It snaps on, instead of screws on, so don't have the confidence that it won't leak. With icy rims, it was difficult to snap it on. Also the push down release is rubber and it gives under finger pressure, but does not release water.. you have to push down pretty hard to get the water to come out. I'll pay a bit more and get the MSR Dromidary, which has not let me down in 20 years.

Love this jacket. Most brands are making synthetic jackets for tall, slim guys; making it harder for my 42 chest, 36 waist 200lb 5'10" frame to fit a large, and the XL is still too big. But the Plasma in Large fits me perfectly, with room to layer. I like synthetic cause of the water resistant properties for everyday wear. The hood is well designed, fits the head without restricting vision. Like that they used lycra around the hood, draw string around the waist and velcro and elastic around the cuffs.. where others will only use one or the other for all openings. Good design with durability, water and wind resistance. What more can I ask for.
