Not having owned a pair of lightweight hiking boots before these, I would these are a good summer wear. Purchased close to a true fit, the shoes run on the side smaller than comfy. GTX will certainly provide waterproofing. The shoes were returned in the hopes of finding boots with a bit of toe space.
