The RAB Vertex pants are extremely lightweight, quick drying, and articulated in all the right places. Basically, just like the ad for them states. Which is great because that is what I am looking for.
What they don't tell you is that wearing these pants is like wearing nothing at all. The fabric is super soft against the skin and so lightweight that I forget I am wearing them. This is actually my favorite part about these pants.
The super lightweight part probably raises some concerns about the toughness of these pants? I have worn them tearing out wild raspberry bushes (think thorns!), and other test worthy activities. No snags, tears, or strange marks as of yet. I also wore them for several hot & humid days whilst doing these things to see about the "odor" remark I read in another review. By the time they hit the wash, I smelled nothing on them aside from the dried mud in a few spots.
So far, these pants rock and I would buy them again at the CampSaver price I got them for ($57). Hope this review is helpful. -brad
