Tasty food for camping or storing for emergencies

I've just eaten several of the entrees on a camping trip, and they are quite good! I really liked the breakfast entree "Biscuits and Gravy" - it was tasty. If you like to spice food up a bit, a dash of pepper or Tabasco works great. I bought one case for my trip and two cases to put away at home. As long as you have clean water you're set - hot clean water is great, but you can make the meal with cold water as long as you give it extra time - 45 minutes to 2 hours - to hydrate the meal. The meals I received had an expiration date of slightly over 10 years. Campsaver shipped the day after I placed the order and I received it four days later. I recommend Campsaver, I've been ordering from them for over 3 years now.

Freeze dried rations are a great way to hedge against uncertainty! I got this kit because it is an easy size to store, easy to handle and priced right for the quantity of meals I'll get if I ever need it.
