After a series of early season snow events dumped 30+ inches of snow on us in Northern Minnesota I started looking for a new snow boots. I wear an oboz 9" boot for everyday wear all winter but decided I needed something taller, but still lightweight, that would help keep the snow out and allow me to plow through deeper snow. I was excited when I discovered the Micah Lea as they are a taller boot, had easy on/off with zip closure, and most importantly laced to the top of the boot (preventing snow from collecting around tongue and cuff).
I purchased a Size 10 in the Michah Lea Eggplant/Brown but they ran big compared to the Milani size 10 that I'd previously tried on in a local specialty shoe store. I exchanged for them for the size 9. Upon receipt I decided the size 9 was true to size but was very disappointed to discover a manufacture defect when first taking the boots out of the box. The stitching was defective along top cuff of boot and the insulation and lining are separated form the leather upper.
The exchange process took well beyond the promised 5-10 business days (due to holidays) and I ended up up returning boots for refund as my size and color were no longer available. Not sure that I'll consider Santana Canada due to inconsistency in sizing between styles and defective product. Also unsure I will consider campsaver.com again due to long exchange process and erroneously being charged sales tax (MN is exempt on clothing , shoes, and outerwear). Tax was credite
