I wouldn't run with these

Written on May 24, 2017

Got this as a freebie with a pair of approach shoes. They fit small (medium supposedly fits up to size 8.5 which is my running shoe size, but they were too small) so I gave them to my wife (size 6 womens and they fit her fine), but even if they fit me I would not have used them for running. Too thick --- I prefer using super thin acrylic socks for running.

Dogbones are thick and seem very durable. Pretty light overall. Simple and inexpensive.

fits where nothing else will

Easy enough to place. Haven't fallen on it yet but it looks reassuring.

Good enough for snow

This is positioned as a hiking gaiter but I use it for snow and it works perfectly. Lightweight, simple and sleek. Doesn't look burly but tough enough to withstand crampon snags.
