Petzl Pick And Spike Protection Accessory
Im using the glacier literide ice axe for a Pacific Crest Trail thru hike and wanted to protect those nice polised and sharp tips. Also keep them from impaling me if I happen to take a spill. They fit very snugly and have little tabs to keep you from losing them if one happens to get knocked lose.

Petzl Glacier Literide Ice Axe
It is very light indeed, but, very good quality as you would expect. Dont forget a leash if you dont already have one. Also this is campsaver so dont be in a hurry to get it :). I plan on using this for backpacking the PCT so weight was a factor in my purchase. The business end of this appears to be extremely well made and the aluminum handle is like a feather.
