Love the look and weight of this knife. Initial impressions are good, not great. The fit/finish could be better.
That said, I feel that the fit/finish is in line with what I paid, given that it was on sale and I had a coupon code. The gut hook portion of the blade was not even sharpened so I had to buy a rod sharpener to handle this. There is a slight unevenly finished lip on the bottom of the heel where the bolster/heel meet on the handle, will need to either wear gloves or try to smooth out.

It is still too early to tell for sure how these will wear long term, but my first impressions are great. This is my first pair of Oboz, and I have to say these not only look good and feel good but have a surprising amount of support around the heel area and at the top of the foot which is nice. These seem to run true to size, I was able to order my "normal size and they fit great.

These have a strong grip and I feel very solid and comfortable when walking in them. I've only had these out in the snow and wet city conditions recently, not on the trail yet, but I have no reason to doubt they will be great on the trail too! The mesh over the top of the foot is breathable allowing for ventilation on the feet which will be nice for hiking in warm weather. Just keep that in mind for colder times, a thicker pair of socks has worked fine for me so far.

Overall, I think this is a high-quality shoe that I will enjoy a lot of use from.
