A necessity

Definitely apply this to new leather boots prior to using on a hike. Or after you know the boots you purchased are the ones you want.

Probably the best

Everyone is different, so not one hiking boot will please everyone. But, I have to say that the Zamberlan Vioz GT fit really well. It does not slip in the heel as you walk, and there is plenty of room in the "toe box." They lace up close to the top of the boot to create a firm fit around your ankle. They are good looking boots for sure. I am not sure how long the Vibram soles will hold up. Some people have said they break off on the ends over time. I did purchase a container of Zamberlan Hydrobloc to spray and wipe on the boots before I wore them. Probably a good idea to treat them before hitting the trail. Campsaver had the best price on the internet plus a 10% coupon made it an even better deal. :)
