All the fleece jackets I've owned prior to this were either: too thin, too short, not warm enough outside of the house, or material wears off easily. This has none of those issues. Under 1 Lb I can keep in my pack if needed and packs small enough. While wearing it you can tell they got the design right. Close fitting, perfect warm in cold weather as a mid layer, hard face fleece where you need it, Long enough to fit below Backpack belt, so fuzzy you'll be unknowingly petting yourself that is until someone calls you out on it.
While I haven't needed to use them yet, I really like them. I compared several pairs that I found at a local store. They only carried short trail running Gaiters or the big hard shell Gortex styles. This is what I wanted, a mid height soft shell material with abrasion resistance. I've worn them at home and can confirm the Neoshell breathes much better than Gortex offerings. The fit and stitching are also top notch.
