I have only worn this in the dry weather we've had since purchasing the jacket, so can't judge its waterproof feature. So this review is only about other attributes. The fit is trim and true to size. I'm 5 ft 6 in and 130 lbs and the medium fits well, although not as roomy across the shoulders as some other Marmot jackets. Sleeve and overall length good. Falls right about mid hip. The apple color is a fun, strong, orangey-red with just a hint of pink. The fabrics is light, smooth, soft to the touch. The jacket is fully lined and feels good against the skin, and is slightly warmer than a single layer rain shell. The medium can be layered over a regular shirt and a light weight insulating layer, but not anything heavier than that. The hood has only one adjustment but basically works. This is not a technical jacket by any means, and probably would not hold up in the long run for backpacking and other hard use. But for general purpose wear (walking, running, commuting, biking, errands, around town...) it's a good looking, nice fitting jacket. But, I can't judge how good it is in the rain. And the price was excellent for the very high quality construction.

I have to say right away that I have not had the opportunity to test this jacket in the rain (only dry weather since I got it) so this review is on features other than waterproofing. Runs mostly true to size. I'm 5ft 6 in, 130 lbs, and the medium fits well overall, but could have more room across the back of the shoulders. It's not restrictive, but I can feel a bit of resistance when reaching both arms forward. Without the liner inside, it is plenty roomy in the shoulders. Sleeve length good, overall length good. Falls at lower hip for good coverage but not too long. Fabric is wonderful on outer jacket - soft, smooth, really nice feel and look. The inner liner zips in easily and also fits well, with the caveat that it could use more room across the back of the shoulders. I got the raspberry color and it's really lovely - better than the picture - rich, actual raspberry, not red. The inner liner is dark pink - not as hot pink as the picture. The best thing about the liner is that unlike most fleece jackets, this one has smooth lining in the sleeves, making it really easy to put on and take off over knit clothing. The combination keeps me warm over just a long sleeve t-shirt weight top in 40 F weather - hasn't got colder than that since I bought it to test it beyond that. The quality is excellent - seams, fabric, shape, zippers, etc. all very well made. The fit is trim, which is what I wanted. It's shaped to a woman's form, not just a shapeless sack. By itself, the outer jacket

This jacket fits a woman's form well, and has shape to it. But it is not confining in any way. There is plenty of room to reach and move arms. It's very light weight. Length of jacket and sleeves is excellent - good coverage without being too long. For reference, I'm 5ft 7 in, 132 pounds, and the medium fit well. Trim fit with room for fleece or down sweater over a thermal top. Material, seams high quality. Hood adjustments work great to allow good visibility. Fits over a helmet if needed. Zipper is sturdy but a bit stiff. Worked great in cool windy conditions. Have not worn it in actual rain to assess how waterproof it is yet. 5 stars based on excellence of all other features.

These pants are great for the trail, and don't look too bad around town either. They have a trim fit so there's not that baggy saggy look of old fashioned convertible pants. There is plenty of stretch to step up onto and over logs, scramble over rocks, etc. The zipper is fairly easy to operate to get the legs off, takes a little care to make sure it's lined up good and tight to get back on, but that's normal for zippers. The little zip pocket is perfect for lip balm, a key or two, etc. The back pockets have unobtrusive velcro flaps - not bulky at all and easy to operate. I didn't think I'd use back pockets, but they're great for flat items like a folded trail guide/map, a few dollars, or even a couple of keys. Some folks report that the zippers bind when walking, sitting, or stepping up. Because of those reviews, I got an 8 instead of a 6, which is the size I got in the regular (non-convertible) Saturday Trail Pants. I usually take a 6 or 8, and both of these pants fit me, with a little extra room in the convertible 8s. That seems to have taken care of any possible zipper-binding issues because they are quite comfortable on an all-day hike doing all sorts of minor gymnastics. For reference, I have the regular length, size 8 as noted, and I'm 5 ft 6 1/2 in, 132 lbs. The 6 also fits, but the extra room in the thigh is nice with the zippers. The length is good, and would probably work for someone a bit taller than me, too. I haven't had them long enough to judge durability, but
