Salomon Quest 4D GTX Backpacking Boots

Written on Apr 10, 2015

Very nice boots! Light weight yet quality built and breathable. Very comfortable right out of the box with exellent durability and water proof capability. Not to mention they look pretty nice too! Go read about them at outdoorgearlab.com. They are way worth the money in my opinion!

Antares 20 Sleeping Bag (750 Down)

Written on Mar 05, 2015

This is a great sleeping bag from what I can tell. Save on weight and packed size while still staying warm in below freezing temps! Stuffs to 7"X12" which is very small for a 20degree bag. Its about the size of a football with out the ends tapered quite as much. Also plenty of room in this bag. I am 6'5" tall and 250lbs and I fit quite comfortably in it with room to side sleep even with the hood up. Only consideration is that this bag requires some sort of sleeping pad at all times to stay warm and comfortable so keep that in mid. Does have light stretchable straps on the back of the bag which hold the bag to the pad securely making side and stomach sleeping much more comfortable. This is a really great feature almost impossible to find on other similarly rated bags!
