This gear sling is really well designed! It can be worn on either shoulder and has plenty of loops to hang your gear on, keeping them all easy to reach! The auxiliary strap can be reversed to adjust length in the front or back.
The only detriment with this sling is the auxiliary strap is really flexible, which makes it a little more difficult to rack/unrack when it's almost empty, so plan your desperate placements accordingly.
It does what it's supposed to do! No frills, just an ATC and simple locking biner. The ATC will fit all the ropes we've used, ranging from 9.4mm to 10mm. It glides smoothly and breaks well. Can't complain.
These shoes look really great! It isn't specified anywhere in the description, but when the shoes arrive and are huge, you notice that the box says UK size. So an 8 is actually a 9.5. I had to return these and am waiting for a smaller pair to arrive. Hopefully I'll be able to update this review when I can wear the ones that actually fit. Wish I had known about the sizing ahead of time. Hope this helps someone else.
I really appreciate the concept of a bonded core and sheath. The size seems small, but is really nice when working with a grigri or similar device. That being said, I'm going to make sure my ATC is not at all worn for breaking before using it with this rope. It is light weight. We haven't had it out for any sport climbs yet, but are excited to do so.
