Arc'teryx Alpha FL Jacket - Men's
Major gear reviewers all give this thing the top spot for alpine hardshells, it lives up to that. Its just a slightly heavier weather proofing than my OR interstellar that it layers perfectly with an R1 in less than ideal conditions. Its sized to wear an a puffy underneath or over depending on conditions. The cuffs are better than my interstellar as well as having a wholly velcro closure instead of velcro and elastic. the downsides are cost. If you can afford it, this thing isnt hype its really almost perfect.Works great as ski jacket for bluebird days as well.

I really like all Salomon shoes, they fit me so well. This one hovere has a small problem for me wiht the toungue. It flares out too much and can collect debris on hike. Maybe someone with a different shaped foot wouldnt have this problem. I wouldnt recommend these for use with shorts, but for long pants that can cover the tops of the shoe I finde them top notch at being a choice between a trailrunner and a full top hiking boot.

Black Diamond Alpenglow Hoody - Men's
5’11 190, size L. Phenomenal product, I used it in a 500 mile overland rallycross. It’s cooling was amazing as was the sun protection, with this top and a lightweight buff I was able to use no sunblock making driving in an open cab at 90+ degrees on dirt roads much more pleasant. I plan to order a couple more as I’m certain they do the trick in the alpine after what I put this shirt through in a hot, dusty and grimy environment.
