First of all, these shoes look badass when you open the box. But as soon as I slipped these on, I could tell I was going to be disappointed. A hiking shoe should be first and foremost, comfortable. Secondly, support is a must in the hiking shoe arena. After my 3rd two and a half mile hike with these shoes a few things were lingering in my mind. 1) My heal felt like it was constantly slipping out, which is unacceptable. 2) The material above the toes pinches the skin with any angle above 45 degrees. 3) Comfort should be an “OUT OF THE BOX” type feature. As cool as these shoes looked they lacked all necessary qualities of a hiking shoe.
