I bought this to use on camping trips when the weather turns cold. We shortened one trip when my 9 year old was cold on a 50 degree day. Enter the kelty blanket. Big, warm, and soft. Kelty does not offer an r value, so know that going in. My major problem was some of the stuffing was coming out as soon as it was removed from the sleep sack. That makes me question the quality. Hoping it lasts several trips, but I don't think it will.
