I purchased this jacket as a present for my daughter, it is her favorite color. I am constantly battling with getting my kids to wear clothing appropriate to the conditions and activity. Unfortunately at 14 y/o fashion and aesthetics outrank practicality. It is always gratifying when I can identify clothing which meet my standards for quality and practicality and their standards for style. Comfort outdoors encourages the type of activities I enjoy and wish to promote with my children. This Marmot garment addresses my need for quality and applicability and because of the style and color my daughter will be anxious, rather than resistant to wearing it.

Great product! Very handy for backpacking and wilderness camping. This towel takes up very little space, is highly absorbent and dries very quickly so as to be ready for the next use. Just wring it out, hang it around camp or on the outside of your pack and it will be ready for use again at the next site

I first purchased one of the portable models when they came out and have used it since then and found it to be very effective at keeping away mosquitos and even somewhat effective at blackflies both of which we have in abundance in New England. The problem I had with the first model was that it required special butane cartridges which were both inconvenient to carry and expensive. In spite of the inconvenience, I used the thermocell consistently from the end of March to October for trips throughout New England and found it greatly enhanced my enjoyment of camping and backpacking. Last summer my backpacking partner purchased this model which works off regular butane canisters, no more special orders or running out of cartridges. I was sold immediately, and would highly recommend this product to anyone who loves the woods but hates to be eaten alive by mosquitos. THANK-YOU Thermocell!!!
