Sizing is way off

Ultimate Direction Jurek FKT Vest
I haven't had a chance to use this yet because I had to exchange it and don't have the new one yet. Just gave it 3 stars rating since that was the midpoint. Will edit once I have used it.
The sizing is not close to the description. I have a 34" waist and ordered the medium since it said said it should fit up to a 41" waist. I was worrried when I ordered that it would be too big. However, I had to loosen the straps all the way in order to fasten it. That was wearing a thin t-shirt. I don't know if I would have been able to fasten it at all with a sweatshirt or jacket on.
My chest and waist aren't the same size, but I don't have a huge chest either. For reference, I used a tape measure and found that at the bottom of my rib cage I am 39". For a suit jacket I wear a 42". I would say for sizing you should pretend the sizing chart says "chest size" instead of "waist size". Or order the same size of t-shirt you would order and ignore the size chart. I'm thinking the large will be a perfect fit for me.

CamelBak Podium Chill Water Bottle, 21oz
I am notoriously cheap, but I buy these water bottles as my go to and give away any of the free water bottles I get at events, come with a pack, etc. The biggest thing that separates them from other water bottles is the valve system. They never leak or splash in the "open" position until I squeeze them, meaning I don't have to open and close them. And in the closed position they can roll all over in my vehicle or whatever and don't leak. The wide mouth makes it easy to add ice. I don't ever have liquid in them long enough to know how well the insulation part really works.
The tapered shape works well in my running vests. When I tighten them down at the top they are secure, but it's still easy to remove them, unlike other bottles.
I love the variety of colors available. Not for fashion reasons, but because I can color code for content. I have some that I only use for water, others for Gatorade, another for Coke, etc. I don't ever have to open them to know what's inside.
