I normally wear 32x32. Sizing was precisely as expected.
Now, I bought these with a pair of Outdoor Research Equinox and a pair of Prana convertibles. In terms of comfort, I'd have to give a point to the Pranas, but these are an extremely close runner-up.
What I really like about these is how White Sierra decided to color-code their leg zippers. Now that I know how convenient that actually is, I've been complaining how my other pants do not have that feature on their zippers.
Since I just got them, I haven't had a chance to use them, but...they look and feel like the kind of pants one would wear to hike a trail all day, jump in a lake, dry out by a fire, sleep, jump in a lake again the next morning, and hike back home, all in the same pair of pants. Just sayin...

These pants are mostly nylon with a smidge of spandex. But you might not know it from looking at them. The fabric is as comfortable as cotton and seems fairly sturdy. I say 'seems' cause I just got them and have yet to try them. This is the only reason I didn't yet give a full 5 stars.
Fit-wise, I ordered 32x32, which is what I normally wear, and the fit was perfect. A bit loose in the waist, but that's what I have to live with cause 31x32 is an uncommon size. Luckily, these have an adjustable waistband already built in.
The cargo pockets are a bit unique. The tops are zipper rather than the run-of-the-mill velcro flaps, and on top of that, there are access zippers on the frontside of the pockets. I can't really imagine using these extra access zippers in terms of my usual adventuring, but they would definitely come in handy while hanging on the side of a cliff.
I have only three (minor) complaints.
1. No ankle zipper, so removal of pant legs requires removal of boot. Then again, if my boots were covered in mud and whatnot, I'd probably pull them off anyway.
2. Pant leg zippers are not color-coded. I say this only cause I have a pair of White Sierras, which are color-coded, and now that I know how convenient it is, I'm a bit spoiled. XD
3. Leg zippers are on the inside of the leg. Personally, I prefer them on the outside of the leg like my White Sierras. But this is the most minor of all of my "complaints".
Bottom Line: These are excellent pants and I would recommend t

I recently purchased these, a Prana, and a White Sierra. All were convertible pants, all were 32x32.
My Pranas and White Sierras fit great. But the Outdoor Research Equinox was a bit big in the waist and a bit small in the inseam. Yes, the waist is adjustable, but there comes a point when the bunched-up waist can get a hair uncomfortable.
Now granted, I'm a stringbean. I could fit perfectly in 31" waist by 33" inseam. But nobody makes those. I would like to note, however, that my other two pairs of pants did have noticeably longer legs, like 1-2", despite being also rated as 32x32. And while I also have to snug the waistbands on those, it was slightly less of an adjustment compared to the Outdoor Research.
If I could, I'd mail the legs back separately for a pair of legs off a 34" inseam. But oh well. Its liveable.
These pants do seem quite comfortable in shorts form, so that's a plus
