Purchased in March 2018, Read all the reviews,REI,AMAZON, etc. Wore these to break them in ahead of a 3 week walking trip to the SW Cornish Coast in July.
Well... I am Back; Impression; Factory insole needs replacement, thin, little support, so prior to leaving I added a $25 insole, no blisters for the entire trip. But, $140. shoe that still needs an aftermarket insole for better fitment? NOT! fit and finish of shoe; loose threads on stitching, slight rear heel separation all prior to my trip. ended up using shoe goo to glue things together just before leaving for the UK. Gortex lining/ water proofing; Fortunately July has been dry in Cornwall and in Glencoe, Scotland. Little mud and a few boggy areas along the trail. However we did get into some rain for one or two days. I did wear short gaiters while hiking in Glenco, (the locals wear knee high) Feet were soaked. Gortex membrane was a Failure! Bottom line..for the price...the need to add an additional insole...wet feet... Use your hard earned money and look elsewhere!
