Review for
Osprey Exos 58 Pack
While the backpack seems very nice, well made and light weight, there were a few things that I didn't like about it:
- Lack of lower back padding. The mesh screen felt "iffy".
- Hip belt doesn't make it around the corner of my hips.
I'm not fat (male, 6', 175lb). I was wearing the pack low
Since that felt most comfortable with weight distributed on hips.
I didn't feel discomfort from these issues, but I felt like it could be a problem on a long trip, so I returned the pack. I was told that the large has 2" more length in the hip belt padding, so maybe if I'd bought a large instead of medium I'd be writing a different review. But since I had to pay for return shipping, I decided to try a different pack (Gregory z65) that is a little heavier, but seems to have more padding. I haven't received that pack so I can't comment on how that pack works out.
