This is a very high quality day pack, and is a lot bigger than it seems. It is the perfect size for my needs. I have the osprey volt 60 and it attaches right to the front of it, giving me extra storage and I can bring a day bag without having to take up precious space inside. I always like to set up camp soon then go exploring without a 40lb pack because I love to climb things and be rambunctious. The problem is that I sweat profusely so I require lots of water, and it is annoying to carry water bottles and have to set them down all the time when you need all hands. In fact, I left a water bottle under adena arch know red river gorge earlier this month by accident. This works perfectly for this, as I can hold my 2 liter bladder in it as well as a towel and different things in case I am hot and want to jump in a river. I can also carry my water pump to gather extra water.
My only complaint is that the side mesh pockets aren't very functional for water bottles as there is an extreme slant to them, meaning on one side there is only maybe 3 or 4 inches of mesh covering a water bottle. This does not hold bottles well, especially if you like climbing things and jumping around and trail running. Poor design right there, but overall great pack!
