I did not use the mattress to sleep on so I cannot comment on that. However, just for the few minutes I tried it, it did seem comfy and much better thank the traditional air mattress one can by at local box stores. The reason I returned it was for me it was very cumbersome to stuff back in sac and I needed to wrestle with it to get all the air out.
