Quality is fairly good, which you don't think of for products manufactured in the UK, although the anodizing was chipped off on on edge of spout when I unpacked it.
I have tested it a few times. Some reviews complain about leakage at rivets, but I didn't have any of that. The instructions tell you to test it once and discard the water. I did that and there was some white residue inside after I discarded the first boil, some of which I could stick my finger in and wipe off. I have done 2 more boils and discarded the water, and I think that is most of the white stuff. I think the white stuff might be a sealer for the seams and rivets.
Overall, it works pretty good, although not quite as fast as some people say to expect. It does have to be fed a little since the materials first used when lighting it don't seem to be quite enough to get it to boil, and it needs a little more.
