A friend had these on a hiking trip when I was looking for a new pair of boots. I was really drawn to these because of the lacing system. I have a lot of circulation problems in my hands, so lacing up traditional boots is really hard for me in cold weather. The lacing system on these was much easier to deal with! I think these would also be good for people with arthritis, Raynaud's, or other problems in their hands.
I do see one drawback to the lacing system, in that repairs would be next to impossible if they break while you're on the trail. The eyelets aren't made in such a way that you could temporarily run a piece of string, etc., through them, so you'd pretty much just have to wrap duct tape around the whole instep. Hopefully Under Armour can improve on that in future designs.

Besides the lacing system, these boots are great because of their comfy sole. It is like walking on pillows. I wore these on a weekend of backpacking off-trail. These performed well on uneven forest ground, stream crossings (no leaks when I had to briefly step in shallow water), and even pavement when we took a shortcut back to our cars. Normally pavement walking in hiking boots is no fun, but the cushion in these really helped with the impact.

Take note that these run small. I normally wear a women's size 9 for casual shoes and size 9.5 for athletic shoes (including hiking boots), but I had to get a 10 in these. I ordered the 9.5 first, but my toes hit the end, so I sent them back, and the 10
