I got a pretty good deal thank you ! But it did have some faded marks ( as if the die didn’t set right on the sleeve) I’ve decided to keep it anyways. So I’ve always went small and fitted but needed to start sizing up .So it’s a bit long as I with most European sizing , the regular fit allows for layers or over a shell . The 700 fill is nice because you won’t over heat as with a 800 to 850 down fill . Due to its length it covers your body very well, Great for town and day hikes and maybe weekend backpacking. This is not a minimalist jacket. But what it lacks in stuff size it gains on is thicker shell and “ regular fit” opposed to a slim fit . It’s a great jacket could use a bit more down in the arms , well made and Stylish.

A extremely beautiful looking jacket (which is why I bought it and I got a great deal,thank you) . 5,7 about 155 lb got a MD . You could go smaller but would limit the usefulness of a jacket, It’s synthetic and not down ,it made to put layers under it .because you can layer under it ,you can get a wider range of temperature. This is not light wight . Extremely detailed, classic parka look . A big and bulky jacket that that kept me so warm in 25 mph winds at 15 F while wearing a tuxedo under it. Love it ,amazing !

Review for Black Diamond Hot Forge Hoody - Mens

This jacket is well made as all BD products . It seems tougher and rugged then my others UltraLite down jacket.The Pro loft down is great ,I don't worry if I'm hiking and it gets wet .
Hoods nice but looks a bit funny when tightened and the jacket dose not pack back down as much as a 100%down ,oh a no stuff pocket or sack .
Again it warm,rugged, packable, stylish, minimalist .
I us it hiking in cold weather ( teens 20s and 30s)or around town in 30s 40s and low 50s.
