I recently misplaced my old trusty Wave and so I bought the "new" Wave. I liked to ease of the one handed tools. but miss the ability to flick open the pliers with one hand, maybe it will come with age. Took me a while to figure of how to deploy the lanyard holder, it slides out, using a separate small screw driver bit to push the ring out from its hidden den. But this is my trusty tool, always with me, but be careful at airports!
