Awesome (if it fits you)

Written on Jan 28, 2022

This is a fantastic hoodie but is probably not a universal wardrobe staple like a cotton hoodie might be. The sleeves are definitely long, which seems intentional so that they don't ride up while your arms are articulating, and the length is somewhat shorter than expected so that it hits you at the waist and not the hips, again I assume for mobility. So if you fit Fjallraven's idea of what a human being looks like, this is an awesome fleece - it's not extremely thick (thinner than a Fjallraven Buck/Patagonia Better Sweater), but still warm and looks a little more sophisticated than a cotton hoodie or a technical fleece.

The biggest issue, IMO, is the lack of stretch at the waist; a protective strip of G1000 is there so that you don't have the fleece fraying at a contact point, which is nice, but it means that the already tapered waist has no give. I would normally get a small in Fjallraven, but sized up to a medium to make that more comfortable.
