MSR HyperFlow Microfilter
My wife and I are new to backpacking. After much reading, we settled on the MSR Hyper flow water filter. This filter packs down small for a piece of gear. Its only about the size of a small bicycle air pump. I am amazed at how much water this filter pumps given its small size. It can pump a little over a liter per minute for 8 minutes before it needs to be back flowed, which is kind of a pain requ

I am new to Backpacking. My wife and I are getting started and our spending philosophy has always been do your homework, spend what you need to, and get a good product the first time. MSR has designed the hyperflow to be a great fliter. The instructions out of the box require that you hook up 2 connections and start pumping.
