I ordered this pole because I enjoy hiking but am an older man who has been broken a number of times in a number of places. I have no difficulty going up but downhill is a real issue, and doing one without the other is hard.
The pole does what I wanted it to do, provides balance and support when needed yet be light enough to ignore when not needed.
I would buy another if something happened to this one.
