Ascent GTX Approach Boot

Written on Jul 13, 2017

Solid, well made technical light weight approach shoe. More ankle support than lighter versions, toe has climbing type rubber good for free climbing or in aid slings, fits narrow and tighter than pure hikers so it needs plenty of time to pack out, I have a flat size 10 US foot so it fits tight. Initially don't do it up to the last eyelet. But if you are scrambling on class IV do it up fully. They are stiff so don't expect a waterbed fit, they are made to be somewhat precise.
