The Mammut backpack is a famous backpack among hikers. It's light, functional, and has a pretty design. There was a good deal this time, so I bought it cheaply at Campsaver.I highly recommend it.
I bought this pack a month ago for my backcountry skiing adventures and my day adventures in the summer. It has great storage and so many features that are perfect for what I like to do. It feels very nice on my back and is very comfortable.
This mug holds my small fuel canister inside, a pack of instant coffee, paper towel for emergencies, stove inside. it also holds my larger fuel conister on top of the lid and my spork on the side of it all inside the sack. The handles feel really study especially compared to their smaller cook set I have used for the past few years. Be careful drinking boiling liquid from the lid as it does not seal perfectly and will dribble on occasion...
I have to say the trowel has been very promising in quality overall. The aluminum seems very durable and light weighted. The handle is hollow in design and good place to put some toilet paper in it. The only downside I am seeing so far is it takes bit efforts to slide the handle back for packing, you have to push really hard on the metal button to let it slide back in folded position. The trowel goes with a small nylon bag.
I heavily researched down jackets as I tend to keep my jackets for many years and finally decided on the Fjallraven Keb Touring down jacket. I am so pleased with it so far. While I have not had a chance to try it in really cold weather, it kept me toasty warm with temperatures in the 30s F (0-5 C). It fits nicely under my waterproof shell, but looks great alone.
Good product for backup or primary water supply. I won't carry as much water in my pack because the Katadyn BFree lets me refill as I hike to my destination. Compact, lightweight, quick & easy hydration system without the fuss of gravity filter systems. I recommend this for hiking where natural surface water is readily available.
My wife just took this on a 4 day 33 mile backpacking trip and lived the wide mouth for filling and the fast flow rate for refilling everyone's water bottle.
The flow out of this to my cooking pot is amazing. I filled up my backpack hydration pack because this is so fast.
Great product
This product works great, flows freely and is fast. It fits perfect on my Hydrapak Seeker that I use for motorcycle camping. It works great for a single person or for a group because it's so fast.
