Marmot ROM Jacket - Women's
This jacket looked great on. I loved the style and fit. However, I returned it because customer service told me it was more of a fleece type jacket but it was not, which I was looking for. If I wanted a raincoat this would have been an excellent option, just not what I was looking for.

Warm And Comfy... Material Not Durable

Sierra Designs Elite Dridown Hoody - Women's
I purchased the Elite Dridown Hoody size medium in black. I decided to go with this brand over other brands I have had in the past; based on reviews and my boyfriend owning over 6 of their products that he loves. This jacket was cheaper as well. I am 5'7 120 lbs and the medium was comfy, I loved the thumbholes and it fit wonderful with a base layer underneath.
Since Maine has had a mild winter I have not worn the jacket much. I wore it last weekend for the third time when temperatures hit -30. I was impressed on how warm the jacket was. I was getting ready to go outside when I noticed three- four rips near the middle by my stomach starting at the zipper. These rips are only about 1 1/2 inches long. I think they were from my skis that rubbed up on the jacket on accident. I am extremely disappointed that it was my third time wearing the jacket and now the down in coming out. Now it is not really wearable since the feathers are all coming out of it and once that happens it changes the warm/ function of the jacket. Upon contacting Sierra Designs Warranty service, they did not provide any help and said that their material was more prone to rips because it was ultra light and that is just how it is now. I would suggest buying the more expensive brands- Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear, Arc'Teryx. These are the brands I have had in the past and and these jackets have lasted 10+ years- so worth the extra money!

I absolutely love this down coat! It is comfy, warm and makes you feel like you are in sleeping bag. I am 5'7 120 pounds with broad shoulders. In other jackets I am a large and in this jacket a medium fits me well allowing me to layer if needed. The thumbholes are an extra bonus if you do not have mittens as they can keep your hands warm.
