Bought the map at an incredibly discounted price as it was the 2006 edition which is geographically correct and has the park roads shown as closed back in 2006. The roads are now back open to the public.
Just back from the backcountry in Grand Canyon. Great sandals, superlight, low bulk, flexible. Used as a camp shoe and for day hikes, primarily in creeks and washes.Very comfortable and they protected the sole of my feet. The soles were not slippery on wet rocks. Only issue, probably unavoidable, is the foot slipping forward in the sandal if you have some mud on the sole of your feet or just dirt and perspiration. You can easily crush your toes against the rocks.
The Chukchi Shirt from Montane is very well made but everything seems short: body lenght, chest zipper length, arms length. A shame because it is really sharp. I will still keep it, only for casual use.
I am 5'10", 160lbs, trim. Bought the Large that fits well- other than being short all over.
